About Magnetic Stud Earrings

Magnetic stud earrings let you wear a classic stud look without ever piercing your ears. They are ideal for unpierced ears, sensitive ears, closed-up piercings, work dress codes, or anyone who wants to switch styles freely. For the full range of non-piercing options, see all magnetic earrings and magnetic clip-ons.

How the magnetic hold works

Each earring is two parts: a decorative front and a magnetic back. You place the front on your earlobe and the magnetic back snaps to it from behind, holding the stud in place. FITINY uses a 400–600 gauss magnet — strong enough for secure all-day wear, gentle enough to stay comfortable.

Materials & stones

  • Stones: diamond-look cubic zirconia or D-color moissanite, depending on the style.
  • Metal: S925 sterling silver or surgical stainless steel (both hypoallergenic for most wearers).
  • Hold: 400–600 gauss magnet, no piercing, no clip pinch.

Questions & answers

Do magnetic stud earrings need pierced ears?

No. A magnet inside the back grips your earlobe against the front stone, so no piercing is needed. They work on completely unpierced ears.

Do they hurt like clip-ons?

Most wearers find magnets more comfortable than spring clip-ons because the pressure is spread by a magnet rather than a pinching clip. FITINY uses a 400–600 gauss hold balanced for comfort.

How strong is the magnet — will they fall off?

The 400–600 gauss magnet is sized for secure all-day wear. Clean, dry lobes hold best; very thick lobes may prefer the smaller stud sizes.

Are they safe?

Magnetic earrings are safe for most people. They are not recommended for anyone with a pacemaker or similar implanted medical device, since the device should be kept away from magnets.

CZ or moissanite — what is the difference?

Both are diamond-look. Moissanite is harder and throws more fire and is graded D-color VVS; CZ is a softer, lower-cost diamond simulant. See magnetic moissanite for the moissanite version.
